Avian Visitors
Teddy Warner created "Avian Visitors," a project that uses a microphone mounted on an apartment balcony to detect and identify bird calls in real-time, then displays them as a digital collage on a website. The project builds on BirdNET-Pi using Cornell's BirdNET acoustic classifier and can be replicated by others using a Raspberry Pi, USB microphone, and other inexpensive components, with Warner offering both a pre-made kit and detailed setup instructions.
