A clinical trial of 500 patients shows that a daily pill called daraxonrasib doubled survival time in advanced pancreatic cancer patients, extending average survival from 6.6-6.7 months to 13.2 months with fewer side effects than chemotherapy. The drug works by targeting the Kras protein that fuels nearly all pancreatic cancers, and experts are calling it a "gamechanger" and one of the biggest breakthroughs in decades for treating this deadly disease.
