DARPA Heavy Life Challenge

DARPA's Lift Challenge seeks innovative drone designs capable of carrying payloads more than four times their own weight, compared to current multirotor drones that typically achieve a 1:1 payload-to-weight ratio. This breakthrough would address critical needs across military, infrastructure inspection, package delivery, and disaster response applications. The competition culminates with an awards ceremony on August 9, 2026.
