A UN fact-finding mission concluded there are reasonable grounds to believe the US was responsible for military strikes on a school and sports facility in Iran in February that killed over 150 people, including approximately 120 schoolchildren, and that these attacks constituted war crimes. The UN experts found the US failed to adequately verify intelligence before launching the strikes and acted recklessly despite knowing the substantial risk of hitting civilian targets. The report also found Iranian authorities committed crimes against humanity during their crackdown on anti-government protests.
