PCB is brought to you by Fable 5

An engineer experimented with Fable 5, an AI tool, to autonomously design a PCB for a Raspberry Pi 2350-based development board with an E-ink display without manual intervention. Though the AI-generated design had some component packaging errors and routing issues, Fable successfully created a functional 4-layer board measuring 31.8 × 37.32 mm costing €26 per unit, demonstrating that AI tools are becoming capable of handling PCB design tasks despite imperfections.
