Ships keep moving through Hormuz despite strike
Despite the IMO suspending its evacuation corridor plan after a strike on the container ship Ever Lovely in the Strait of Hormuz, commercial traffic has continued through both routes as ship operators make independent risk assessments. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy maintains that only its northern-controlled route is legitimate, causing some vessels to turn back or switch routes, though approximately 115 vessels successfully transited during the plan's brief operation before its suspension.
