Dan Berulis, an IT staffer at the National Labor Relations Board, filed a whistleblower complaint in April 2025 alleging that Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) had compromised the agency's data, and subsequently received threatening messages including drone photos of himself. After Musk publicly disputed Berulis' claims on X, calling the whistleblower complaint "deliberately false," Berulis' car brakes were cut while driving, leading him to file a defamation lawsuit against Musk for allegedly inciting violence against him.
