Re-Engineering YouTube for the Living Room: Bringing "Chrobalt" to RDK

Collabora partnered with Google's YouTube Cobalt and Partner Engineering teams to deliver the first RDK-based reference platform for Chrobalt, Google's re-architected web engine for smart TVs and set-top boxes. Chrobalt represents a major evolution from the original Cobalt engine, merging it with Chromium to provide modern web standards and security updates while maintaining the low-resource footprint required for embedded TV devices. This reference platform enables third-party device manufacturers and OEMs to adopt Chrobalt on their hardware.
